52 Card Pick Up
May 15, 2007Dear Bartender: I was at my local watering hole the other day. It was a slow day, so the barback and a few of us were playing cards. Should I have been tipping the barback for his time, or should I just continue to assume that, if he’s playing cards, he doesn’t have other responsibilites? The game lasted three hours, if that makes a difference.
Speaking of differences, he’s kinda hot.

Dear Lover: No, you shouldn’t tip the barback for playing cards. You could let him win. That would at least let him know that you like him.
Unless of course you were playing strip poker. Were you playing strip poker?
Although it would be entirely in character with the joint, all clothes stayed on. Should I tip then if we play strip poker, or just let him lose everything?
